MAN FIRED FROM WENDY'S AFTER 'IMPROPER USE OF FRYER'
Salmon Springs man is facing potential criminal charges after being fired from Wendy's for supposedly deep frying customer credit cards before returning them at the drive through window. Twenty-four year old Carl Stevens, seemingly bored at work, decided to begin deep frying credit cards. He did this to about ten cards before the manager found out and had him fired on the spot. Stevens has refused to be interviewed, but police say he may be facing charges.
The manager of Salmon Springs Wendy's told reporters that Stevens was on thin ice already after an incident weeks before, when Stevens reportedly traded a large amount of French fries for a customers prosthetic leg. The leg was returned, but the establishment lost an estimated $500 due to the incident.
One of our reporters interviewed a customer whos card had been deep fried by Stevens. Seemingly not angry about the incident anymore, he told reporters that "Cleaning the card was inconvenient, but it works fine now." Police are not sure what charges they can file against Stevens, but they are working to persecute him.
