BAND OF TROUBLEMAKING GOPHERS TAKE OVER LOCAL PUB, ALL USING FAKE IDs
This week, Salmon Springs' local bar was overtaken by a half dozen gophers, all entering the bar illegally using fake IDs. Once inside and inebriated, the gophers began wreaking havoc, attacking bargoers and employees. Police showed up too late after the gophers had already dispersed.
Salmon Springs Sheriff told reporters that he is unsure how he would even charge gophers. Since the incident, the gophers have still not been found or arrested, and police have decided to drop the case. This incident does raise some questions, however, and police are trying to formulate a way to persecute animal criminals in the future.
As for the bars employees, the working bartender was given paid leave while recovering, and other employees are being trained on how to better recognize a fake ID from a real one.
